What's the difference between the metal plate and the metal disc?
The plate is meant to be attached to a vertical surface, such as a laptop or a monitor, it has a anti-rotation pin to prevent the Core from titling. The disc can be used either on the back of a tablet, or on a wall, where tilting is not a problem.
Can I use the metal disc on a wall?
Yes, although when using the Disc on a wall, it is suggested to use the nano-suction layer for a stronger attachment.
What is the function of the nano suction layer?
The nano-suction layer is for those more difficult surfaces where the standard sticker is not sticky enough.
Is a single core enough to hold a tablet?
Depending on the size of your tablet, a single Core could be enough to hold it, if you lean the edge of your tablet against the edge of your laptop to avoid rotation. However, we always suggest using 2 Cores, for a more stable connection.
Are all sides of the Core compatible with MagSafe?
No, only the sides with the Rolling Square logo are compatible with MagSafe. Make sure to properly align the EDGE Pro Core to the center back of your iPhone.
How long does the light take to charge, what is the indication for fully charged?
It takes about 1.5h, when it's fully charged, the LED will stop breathing.
If I attach the metal discs to the back of my iPad Pro, will it affect its connectivity to the Magic Keyboard?
No, it won't affect the Magic Keyboard.
I’m still not sure I understand the function of the nano suction layer. How is it supposed to be used?
The nano suction layers are there to replace the stickers that are already mounted on the metal plate / metal disc, in case the pre-mounted stickers are not suitable for the surface where you want to attach them. I.e. if you need to attach the metal disc to a porous wall, the nano suction sticker would work better.
Can the standard sticker on the back of the plates be reused after they have been removed?
It depends by the kind of surface you have attached the stickers to, but normally they can't be reused. Only the nano suction stickers can be reused, if not damaged while removing them.
How to use the nano suction layer? Which side should the adhesive layer face?
Both sides of the nano suction stickers are equal.
Does an iPad’s connection to and functionality with the Magic Keyboard remain after attaching 2 discs for use with 2 cores?

What is the purpose of the plate protection layer?
The plate protection layer, although it's mentioned on the packaging, lastly was replaced by the nano-suction layer, so it's not in the box anymore. We have replaced it because it was not compatible with the stickers used on the plate. We apologise if this caused confusion, since it's mentioned on the packaging.
How can the metal plate be reused after removing it from a device?
The plate normally can't be reused, however if you are very careful in removing the plate without deforming it, you can reuse it by replacing the 3M sticker with the included nano-suction sticker.
What is the ring aligner mentioned on the packaging? I could not find it.
The ring aligner was supposed to be a cardboard die cut to guide you to center properly the ring on the back of your phone. Ultimately, we have decided not to include it, since it's easy enough to center it manually, so it was just gonna be a waste of paper.

The ring on a non-MagSafe phone should be centered both horizontally and vertically on the back of your phone.

If used properly, it will not damage the hinge.
How can the EDGE Pro be used as a continuity camera? Only one side is magnetic.
All sides of EDGE Pro Core are magnetic, but only the sides with the Rolling Square logo are MagSafe compatible. To use continuity camera, you need to keep the MagSafe side attached to your phone (the side with the logo) and simply flip it, so that you will face your phone's camera.

You can attach the metal plate to the protective shell directly, if the case material is sticker-friendly. An example of non sticker-friendly material is silicone.
How do I attach the edge pro to my MacBook Air as the screen has rounded edges?
Rounded edges are a bit tricky. You should try to attach the Plate as far as possible from the rounded edge, to allow it to stick as much as possible on a flat surface, without going too far from your screen edge. The maximum distance between the plate and the edge of your screen is 15mm.

What is the copper coil used for?
You can use it to remove the Plate, Disc or Ring from your devices when you will need to.
Can the Edge Pro be attached to the iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard or can it only be attached to the iPad itself?
It can be attached to the Magic Keyboard, but because of the smooth surface of the Magic Keyboard, we are not sure if the Disc's glue will attach properly, or if it will damage the surface over time.
To use the nanosuction layer, do you first have to remove the sticker from the metal plate? Or do you stick the nanosuction layer on top of the sticker? Can't seem to detach the original sticker from the metal plate, so wondering if the nano suction later is just meant to stick on top?
You should remove the original 3M sticker from the Plate, before attaching the nanosuction layer.
Could the edge pro be used to mount an IPAD PRO above a macbook pro screen?
Yes, but because of the weight of the iPad Pro, the inclination of the MacBook Pro's screen can't be too much.
How can I remove the nano suction layer?
You can remove it with the included copper wire, with dental floss, or with any sharp object that won't damage the surface below the sticker.
I feel ridiculous asking this. But in the campaign video there is a single magnet stuck on the MacBook separate from the edge core. This allows you to take the edge core off when necessary. There is no magnet in that shape in my box.
The Metal Plate you are referring to is inside the EDGE Pro Core box, and it has a red 3M sticker attached to it. Please check it carefully, as it's packed attached to the EDGE Pro Core, so it doesn't move inside the box.
Does the regular 3M sticker to work well enough on a current generation (flat edge) Macbook Pro or would you recommend switching to the nano-suction layer?
